Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer in Client Engineering, you will work with business users, developers, and solution architects to automate and digitize business processes to better serve client end users. You will also be expected to perform implementation of user stories, as developed through design meetings and discovery workshops.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Develop and implement automated solutions for IBM solutions and infrastructure with automation technologies including workflow tools, AI, RPA, and NLP
- Work across development and product teams to communicate process requirements in the context of experience and the technical solution
- Apply in-depth knowledge of automation technology solutions and industry use cases to influence clients and sell IBM solutions
- Partner with other teams, managers, and program managers in order to develop automation, alerting, monitoring, and remediation strategies for mission-critical services.
- Bring new automation opportunities to clients, using industry use cases and learnings from other engagements
- Stays current on automation technologies and applications
- At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing automation solutions
- At least 1+ years Client facing experience: pre-sales/post-sales experience
- Experience with Kubernetes, Container, CI/CD experience
- Experience with GitHub, Perl and Python
- Must be efficient in writing, debugging and maintaining scripts (Bash and Python)Hands-on experience in AI and RPA.
- Certification in automation toolset (e.g. AWS SWF, K2, UIPath, Mulesoft, and WatsonExperience)
- Have experience in Cloud Platforms.
