As a result of ongoing and continued successes, this leader within the mining world is seeking a Processing Manager (Nickel) who has experience in nickel matte and nickel sulphate processes.
About the Processing Manager (Nickel) Role:
Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Processing Manager will be responsible for the overall technicality of the mining and smelting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all mineral processing activities and related mill operations
- Ensure that production, recovery, maintenance and cost objectives are met while respecting environmental, health and safety (EHS) rules
- Actively participate in HAZOP and HAZID
- Work closely with all mine services, including mining operations, mining engineering and mining geology
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in nickel processes with a degree in mining or metallurgy
- English proficiency is a must
- Good understanding of laboratory practices, operations, test work programmes and feasibility studies
- Expertise in nickel matte and nickel sulphate processes
- Prepared to cover both hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy
