We're urgently looking for a great Delphi developer who is proficient with the design, production and implementation of software solutions on .NET platform, utilizing Sitecore technology.
Our client is a New Zealand child care management system who have been in the sector for 30 years. Features include managing child enrolment details, child attendances, manage staff/teacher information and staff rosters. Invoicing and receipting functionality are provided, along with a communication module to send text messages and emails directly from the system. The system is used to provide government funding information and to calculate funding rules and compliance. Statistical information is also sent to Ministry of Education.
To further strengthen their position, they need a number of Software Engineers to join their team.
Your primary focus will be on developing Delphi with a Firebird database. A number of third party components are used such as Visual Component Library for a large amount of UI elements. Core architecture is a client-server configuration.Each client is has an individual Firebird database with installation options either in the clients local environment, or via Remote App.APT have now extended their application onto the web using a third party emulation tool (Thinfinity VirtualUI). Basically the tool is creating a windows server user session and rendering the windows app into a browser.
Such architecture has a range of performance impacts with running emulation for web delivery.
What will you be doing?
- Identify design improvements and value engineering opportunities.
- Attend design reviews and project technical progress meetings.
- Developer with 5 years or more development experience
- Delphi/Kylix/Pascal programming
- Design and development of complex Graphical User Interfaces
- Design and development of DLLs and command-line utilities
- Object oriented programming
- Relational databases (MS SQL, Firebird SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite)
- SQL language experience
- Version control systems
- Microsoft Windows
- Exceptional spoken English and communication skills
- C# programming
- FastReports or Crystal Report engine
- Windows API
