Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategy
  • Improve portfolio quality and optimize risk adjusted return dynamics through development of effective portfolio management strategy, including increase / decrease of exposure based on segment performance within the portfolio.
  • Review of portfolio/environment indicators for pre-emptive portfolio strategy development.
Business
  • High Level of business partnership and engagement to ensure alignment and implementation of the strategic agenda.
  • Actively engaging business in acquisition activation and interventions initiative
  • Actively engage with business in driving and take lead in managing Loan Channelling business initiatives
Processes
  • To communicate any policy changes to related party.
  • To ensure the end-to-end process (i.e Operation, CI) is aligned with Country Policy.
People and Talent
  • Work closely with other units within Credit Department and other Units to support overall credit and business initiative and strategy
Risk Management
  • To ensure full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility
  • Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through relevant committee
Governance
To ensure alignment between local regulation, group policy, and country policy. Compliance Areas in PCF (Prudential Compliance Framework) owned by CRO – CPBB:
  • Category 2. Eligible Residential property, Commercial property, and other physical collateral for credit protection
  • Category 3. Financial collateral, deposits with third parties and life insurance (Funded credit protection)
  • Category 4. Eligible Credit Derivatives and Guarantees for credit protection (Unfunded credit protection)
  • Category 5. Credit Risk Mitigation for RWA (Principles of CRM)
  • Category 6. Receivable financing (IRB only)
  • Category 8. Aggregation rules for SME and Retail exposures
  • Category 10. Data Assurance and RWA Monitoring
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
  • Other units within and outside Credit Department such as Business Team, Lending Operations, Compliance and Legal, Credit Initiation, Fraud Risk, Collections.
Other Responsibilities
  • Always aware of the issue which informed Country, Group of Risk and cascade to team
  • To fully aware with Group Policy and Standards on regulatory requirements for prevention of money laundering, Gift and Entertainment Country guideline
  • Implant the brand promise and values more deeply within the Bank
