Your Role and Responsibilities
The VAD Sales IBM Power Systems will be responsible for managing and growing the IBM Power Systems business through our Indonesia Value Added Distributors. You will also establish, develop, maintain and manage relationships with key & developmental Business Partners supported by the Distributors.
What you will do:
- Management of Distributors in the Channel Ecosystem
- Sales planning & implementation - facilitate the development of strategic sales plans by the distributors to reflect IBM’s business strategy.
- Account Planning - assist distributors in planning sales strategy so that it is reflective of and aligns with, the overall IBM corporate strategy and business unit objectives;
- Develop plans with the distributors that articulate the strategies/requirements essential for focusing sales activities, forecast and communicate sales progress to upline
- Actively manage and sign off on account business plans through scheduled quarterly reviews and updates.
- Pipeline management - support the distributors with building, monitoring and orchestrating sales pipelines to ensure a continuous population of near and long-term opportunities.
- Perform business development on selected Power Systems sales play like SAP HANA and Modernisation with VAD and selected business partners
- Deal management - regularly reviews deals to ensure soundness and problem-free processing by IBM back-end operations.
- Assist distributors in customizing solutions with business partners with due consideration of the IBM skills and capability gaps within the channel ecosystem.
- Has at least 3+ years of experience in Sales role
- Has in-depth sales, business and professional skills to work at any level within the Distributor & Business Partners.
- Interest in developing a technology sales career
- A self-starter, you are a motivated and driven person who can work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia & English to discuss and communicate business/technical subjects with clients.
- Ideal candidates should have good knowledge of Server/Hardware/IT Infrastructure.
Good to have if you have sales experience, are comfortable with qualifying sales opportunities, and are prepared to drive opportunities with the partner community, mainly in growth and strategic accounts.
