A head of legal position is now open at a manufacturing and production company in Jakarta.
About the Head of Legal Role:
This role will reports to Director and you will be responsible for establishing, managing, and supervising a legal compliance system and compliance functions in every business unit within the group, including providing best consultation and advice on the third party engagement structure and business projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a legal and industrial relation system within the group
- Ensure the fulfilment of regulators' reporting obligations complying with the prevailing laws and regulations
- Manage and supervise the compliance function in every business unit within the group
- Monitor internal database/compliance records
- Design and implement guidelines and policies for business contract process and management
- Provide training and awareness to the business on the business contract and compliance process
- File trademark or patent registrations and/or maintain the licenses of the trademarks
- Advise and collaborate with other departments in compliance affairs
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law with at least ten years of experience in the legal industry
- Preferably from FMCG, manufacturing or tobacco industry with an international law firm background
- Preferably with experience in industrial relations matters
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint, Prezi, and other presentation applications
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Agility and ability to manage complexity
- Collaborative mindset and attitude
- Good communication and negotiation skills
