What You'll Do
- Reporting to the global head of tax, the role will be an essential part of the tax function by providing tax advisory, tax compliance and transfer pricing support to the business across Asia
- Oversight and lead of the tax compliance across the group (primarily Indonesia and Singapore)
- Provide advice to the business on tax implications of various deals including GST/ VAT, corporate income tax, withholding taxes and treaty benefits
- Do research and advise on tax implications on different deals and jurisdictions
- Provide tax advice the region on tax compliance matters, local tax issues, tax planning ideas, tax audits and tax litigation and to help manage the tax risks in relation to the above
- Minimum Degree in Accountancy, Law or Finance, masters in tax is a plus
- 5 + years of tax experience within the consulting environment or inhouse in Indonesia. Preferred experience on a big4 (or firm) and inhouse.
- Strong technical knowledge and abilities in Singapore/ Indonesia Income Tax and GST/ VAT with knowledge/ experience in common international tax issues, particularly in the Asia Pacific region
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide recommendations
- Hands-on personality, team player, and continuously seeking for improvements
- Able to think on your feet, improvise and deal with constant changes
