We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to join us as a Proposal Manager (Engineer) in our Jakarta office, supporting the sales of Hydrometallurgy Equipment.
THE ROLE
This position will report and work in the Asia Pacific Market Area (MA), supporting the global Hydrometallurgy Business Line (BL).

Key Task include:
- Generate techno-commercial proposals and a Success Strategy, in close collaboration with the Sales team and other internal stakeholders
- Handle technical and commercial reviews of customer specifications and vendor proposals
- Generate accurate cost estimates according to established standards
- Manage and Develop proposal documentation and proposal tools
- Support the proposal towards the customer to achieve success
- Support effective handover of orders to project management teams
- Be the contact point for Sales and BL / Product Line organisations in his/her respective sales case
- Follow up on proposal submissions and provide clarifications as requested by clients
- Solid understanding of the relevant products (training will be provided)
- Good knowledge of Metso Outotec's global network (training will be provided)
- Capability of internal networking, organising cross-MA & BL activities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, react quickly and prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Ability to interpret/appreciate client specifications/requirements/expectations
- Knowledge of Sales Process, Sales Project Management and Estimation
- Ability to write persuasive technical sales documents will be highly regarded
- Degree or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy (or related field)
- Significant experience in Proposals and/or Estimating will be considered in lieu of degree/technical certificate in Engineering
