A Senior Accounting job has become available at a leading local coal trading company. In this job, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounting functions of the company including but not limited to GL, reporting, budgeting, balance sheet, AP and AR, and tax.
About the Senior Accounting Role:
This position will be a critical role as you will be responsible for handling the accounting processes of multiple business units. This position will report to a CEO and Finance Director in Singapore. Based in Jakarta, this is a great opportunity to join the finance team of an establish company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and manage all accounting activities
- Be responsible for accounts payable processes (cash and bank, supplier, contractor and customer account recording and collection/payment cycles)
- Reconsolidate GL accounts and monthly closing processes
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, etc.) and submit periodical management reports to the group finance function
- Prepare all the periodical financial reports in local GAAP and IFRS
- Support exportation and importation processes
- Participate in budgeting and future projections
Key Requirements:
- University degree in business administration or economy
- Fluency in English
- Strong accounting background with an accrual accounting mentality
- Industry background in the coal industry or any commodities
- Experience in local book-keeping
- Between three to six years of experience in similar positions
- Results-oriented with a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- High sense of responsibility
- Ability to work in a multinational/multicultural environment
