Community Specialist (Indonesia)
Maker Lab supports clients across technology, entertainment, financial services and the payments industry. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join an exciting project we’ve embarked on with our client, a leading entertainment brand.
As a Community Specialist, you will play an instrumental role in community engagement with a sound understanding of the local market to create engaging conversations with Indonesian audiences. You will adapt global strategies and localise them for the local community while taking into consideration the cultural nuances in Indonesia and identifying the best narratives and means of engagement.
Role:
- You will help to direct, monitor and engage in conversations with the Indonesian community by moderating the brand’s owned social channels; Instagram, Twitter and other platforms.
- You will effectively communicate with the audience by informing them about the newest updates, programs, events, etc.
- You will manage quality control around the tone of voice through excellent copywriting skills
- Lean into community management in a way that is proactive, fun and engaging while able to escalate any reputational issues if they ever occur
- Respond to direct messages and comments to all social media handles in the client’s unique tone of voice
- Develop strategic relationships with relevant brands/creators and find relevant posts to comment on in an impactful manner
- Work with the team and client to communicate community insights and trends you have seen
- Work with the creative team in creating content ideas for the brand.
- 5+ years of experience in editorial, copywriting, social media manager or community manager role.
- Have strong Indonesian market knowledge (audience demographics, competitor landscape, etc.) & Indonesian community management knowledge (social media interaction, offline events, etc.)
- Experience with regional handles, sensitive to Indonesian cultural nuances.
- A deep understanding of all things social media(Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
- Proven experience in content creation, working with a remote team, and a thorough understanding of social media trends and what captures audiences.
- Proactive and fearless about pitching creative concepts and ideas to the team at all times.
- Responsible, reliable, and able to cope with tight schedules.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentation skills and, ideally, fluent in Bahasa Indonesia to support local projects
