Leads a team to deliver routine actuarial tasks and recommendations requiring minimal direct supervision, and to perform more complex actuarial analyses under the supervision of more senior actuaries, in relation to reserving, reporting, quantitative risk management or the pricing of business.
Job Qualifications
- Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or relevant
- Has at least 6 years of experience as Valuation and/or Pricing, Project, or Business Development Actuary.
- Has experience of becoming people manager
- Has Actuarial Certificate (qualified Actuary)
- Fluent in English and Bahasa.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, commercial acumen and superior analytical skills
- Experience in IFRS17 would be considered as highly advantage
- Good knowledge & experience in related aspects of actuarial work in a life insurance company, such as financial reporting bases, profit signatures, valuation data and processes, actuarial and life policy admin systems, experience studies and strategic plan
- Provide actuarial services with minimal supervision of a more experienced actuary to fulfill routine business requirements and to solve problems with a low to moderate level of complexity / diversity.
- Perform complex statistical analyses, model, monitor and analyze data and develop models/programs for model building and analyses; interpret results of models and analyses to support business decision making.
- Participate in analyses related to activities outside of normal responsibilities
- Provide professional actuarial support and advice to actuarial business partners including insights into underlying performance and implications for the business.
- Manage the flow and quality of relevant actuarial data to ensure robust output.
- Support development of risk based capital models and calibration and parameterization activities.
- Ensure that processes and standards are consistent with internal actuarial policies; lead the improvement of systems and processes in own area.
- Lead, train and develop actuarial personnel.
