Our client is a prominent industrial explosives manufacturer in Indonesia with a growing portfolio. With multiple projects dotted across, they are a significant player in the mining scene. They continue to produce the highest standards of products and services while growing their market presence in Indonesia.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE Performance Standards, objectives and as well as acts, and regulations and the commitment to achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety leadership
  • Manages the Commercial arrangement, ensure compliance with applicable DNAP HSEQ Performance Standards, objectives, as well as any applicable Acts and Regulations
  • Negotiating and maintaining mutually beneficial commercial arrangements. Actively manage the customer margins particularly with regard to customer and product line profitability.
  • Nurturing customer relationships to ensure the company is the supplier of choice for our selected customers.
  • Communicating customer needs throughout the organization, being the ‘voice of the customer’. Ensuring that agreed customer services are delivered safely, cost effectively and according to committed service levels and standards
  • Ensure that the sales process works efficiently with the customer such that goods and services are paid for in a timely and efficient manner in order to maintain cash flow
  • Maintain the key commercial processes to a high standard, Customer Dissatisfaction, Business Intelligence, Contract Management, and Key Account Management.
  • Development and maintenance of a business plan and customer management plans for the Indonesian Region
  • Assist in the participation of delivering an annual capital plan within budget and time frame. Assist in the provision of accurate and realistic forecasting and reporting information. Actively challenge existing practices and seek efficiencies and cost improvement opportunities for business
  • Ensure customer forecasts and received, reviewed and entered into SAP to facilitate the S&OP processes
  • Coordinating with technical services team in order to deliver best service and best product to customer. Advocate on behalf of the customer the need to deliver consistent and reliable products and services
  • Ability to actively mentor and participate in on-the-job training of all subordinates as needed. Utilize the ATLAS process in providing quality feedback and coaching sessions to direct reports. Represent Asia Pacific Commercial Meetings to ensure alignment of programs with the Asia Pacific Strategy
  • Develop and Lead the commercial team to perform its required function. Maintain the highest level of presentation and professionalism
  • Identify recommend and deliver on improvement opportunities; in doing so implementing Process Excellence methodologies
Key Requirements:
  • 7-15 years in Commercial, with prior experience in an Industrial Explosives, Mining, Heavy Equipment Industry
  • At least 5 years at a managerial level with proven experience leading, growing and developing the business
  • Excellent in communication skills and a strong business acumen
  • Has a strong customer and supplier management skills
  • Strong Financial modelling and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent in English is a must
