Project Overview and Role:
CATALYZE is a $250 million 5 to 8-year program, designed to catalyze $2 billion in private capital, especially to underfinanced social sectors and higher risk countries (especially low-income and post-conflict countries) around the globe, complemented by a cross-cutting inclusion of gender-lens investing. Our aim is for investors to explore and find commercially viable opportunities and approaches to creating jobs, developing sustainable social services, tightening, and rationalizing supply chains, and advancing inclusive growth.
The CATALYZE “Improved Social Protection and Economic Empowerment of Women in Asia” activity focuses on improving social protection and economic empowerment of vulnerable female workers in Asia. Through partnerships with the Government of Indonesia, notably BPJS-K, and private partners, CATALYZE will support BPJS-K to promote female informal sector workers' enrollment with and continued premium payment for Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN). CATALYZE is collaborating with BPJS-K to co-create innovative interventions with the private sector that align with current BPJS-K objectives to address challenges to JKN enrollment.
To support this ongoing collaboration and coordination between CATALYZE and BPJS-K, the project is seeking to hire a Liaison Officer on a consultancy basis to be seconded at BPJS-K Office to offer technical assistance services. A co-creation workshop is scheduled at the start of December, and the Consultant will draw out the insights from this co-creation workshop to collaboratively develop these frameworks for the project.
