Position Overview:
The Senior Tax Accountant oversees the activities of the junior tax accountant (a Non-Employee Worker) in addition to juggling additional tasks, for example, ensuring that the department avails timely and accurate forecasting and periodic tax reports, assisting the business with tax audit support, and business support under the direction supervision of the Tax Manager and Lead Legal Entity Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Calculation of tax liabilities, tax form preparation, and external filing/reporting
- Tax research, analysis, and interpretation for purposes of compliance, tax planning, and optimization (e.g., impact of changes to laws and regulations on tax liabilities, tax structuring for merger and acquisition activity, transfer pricing, etc.)
- Tax-specific transaction recording and records maintenance (e.g., tax journals, capital expenditure details required for tax calculations, tax depreciation schedules, etc.)
- Consultation with external consultants and agencies on tax matters (e.g., external auditors, lawyers, regulatory agencies, etc.)
- Tax accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax
- 5+ years of
- Excellent understanding on Indonesia prevailing tax regulation
- Excellent understanding on SAP
- Strong supervisory skill
- Good in written and verbal communication skills (both in English and Bahasa)
- Good analytical skill and problem solver
