This is an exciting new role in Unilever’s Global Quality Expertise team to provide cross-category support for business units, factories & functions in Asia on critical topics such as hygienic design, cleaning & disinfection, microbiology.
This role will play an important part in ensuring our global consumer safety & quality programs/standards are robust, delivering training to build capability across the region (plus other locations if needed) and providing expert technical support in case of issues/concerns or incidents arising.
This role requires technical skills but also the ability to influence key stakeholders (such as manufacturing, engineering, quality, R&D) across varying levels & functions. It is important that the individual in this role is self-motivated and able to operate effectively as a remote team member.
This role will report into the Global Quality Expertise Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert input for the development & review of Unilever’s global Quality Management System standards (including Technology-specific standards) to ensure these are robust, clear and can be implemented effectively.
- Developing and delivering training to build/enhance capability in key consumer safety & quality topics – and establish/coach a network of local experts (across multiple functions).
- Providing support & guidance as needed to ensure robust implementation of Unilever’s global quality requirements in manufacturing (and/or across other functions, as applicable).
- Leading consumer safety and quality assessments to verify that critical requirements (such as hygienic processing controls, cleaning & disinfection activities, HACCP) are in place and effective.
- Providing technical expert support for Business Groups, Business Units and/or Factories for managing consumer safety or quality concerns/incidents – including interpreting global requirements, assessing level of risk and providing guidance on actions.
- Shaping future programs & priorities for the Global Quality Expertise team, by bringing insights and learnings from Asia (both internal and external).
