MISSION
(Why the position exists)
- Define needs of new tool (renewal, capacity, productivity, localization) in each year and review quarterly
- Launch tools with technical and financial study then follow up according to the needs and schedule
- Buy off new tools, keep all related document and establish the maintenance plan
- Follow tool condition and perform tooling appraisal periodically
- Support CS&Q, SCM, Production, Technical and Purchasing team for tooling aspects
Support manufacturing teams to deliver good products with committed quality level at the right service level with competitive cost through objectives of;
- AOC
- OTD
- ENCR
- SIO
- MBC and CAPEX, etc
(Internal e.g. colleagues, Sales & Marketing Dept, Unions & etc. External e.g. legal advisor, customers, distributors, Clients & etc)

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Tooling, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Job Related Experience:
2 years in stamping mold making/operating or part fabrication process, Surface treatment and Heat Treatment
Business Understanding:
Component cost structure, Mechanical Design, Continuous improvement and Kaizen
Others (e.g. language skills, technical skills):
Stamping tool management skills, Material selection, Engineering drawing (ISO8015), Tooling issue solving skill, Stamping mold structure

Define needs of new tool
- Get inputs from different team to define need of new tool(project, capacity, localization, PEP/PMP)
- Define the tools to be renew(end of life)
- Estimate tool cost
- Initiate and propose budget(CAPEX)
Budget accuracy
Launch tools with technical and financial study
- Follow CTMP and complete Internal Quotation
- Complete IAR with proposal and recommendation
- Schedule tooling project and follow CTMP until qualification of tool
Tool launching and implementation schedule
Buy off tools, keep all related document and establish maintenance plan
- Issue tooling contract and engage supplier(tool maker and tool processor) to sign tooling contract otherwise define actions and follow up until it is acceptable for all parties
- Establish tool maintenance plan with maintenance budget
MBC, number of contract
Follow tool condition and perform tooling audit periodically
- Establish tool audit plan and follow the plan
- Perform tooling audit and complete audit report with actions(if need) to ensure tooling condition and avoid tool breakdown
OTD, ENCR
Support CS&Q and Purchasing team for tooling aspects
- Support CS&Q team when there is component quality issue related to the tools
ESSR and ISSR, DPM
