Job description
In your new role you will:
- Provide operational support onsite, and globally for semiconductor frontend production sites on Windows Server and Data Center Facility implementation, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and manage Data Center Facility hardware, hardware monitoring tools, and the Data Center environment monitoring.
- Involvement in the design, build and run of Global Data Centers.
- Coordination with local facility teams on Data Center facility-related dependencies to ensure a stable Data Center environment, new requests, incident and change request handling, and Data Center capacity planning.
- Implement Global Data Center Facility standards at local data centers.
- Consult and support local or global application owners.
- Provide 24x7 support and on-call for Data Center facility and Windows servers.
- Run, coordinate and manage project activities onsite and globally.
- Provide day-to-day technical support and handle administration tasks for IT systems (Windows Server) on local and global sites.
- Perform day-to-day operation tasks, such as resolving incident tickets and change requests, providing 2nd tier responses, ensuring the analysis and resolution planning for dated issues, and seeking appropriate solutions for issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and performance tuning on systems.
- Initiate and follow up on critical vendor technical support requirements.
- Document system processes and procedures.
- Maintain, upgrade and enhance current IT Systems in local and regional sites.
- Coordinate data center facility maintenance activities, upgrades, improvement areas, and incidents according to data center compliance.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent field of studies.
- At least 3-5 years of Windows server administrative working experience
- Experience in Datacenter Facility building and running operations would be an advantage.
- Understanding of managing applications on Windows platform and Datacenter Facility.
- A high degree of responsibility and flexibility, as well as an eye for the big picture.
- Basic skills with Power shell scripting or another relevant scripting skillset would be a plus.
- Certification in MCSE, and CDCP will be an added value.
- Strong proficiency in English with good communication skills.
