A Senior Software Engineer (.net) role has just become available in Australia's leading insurance technology company.
About the Senior Software Engineer (.net) - Fully Remote Role:
You will collaborate with a multinational team and develop features that will be used in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write good quality code that is robust and easy to read (including unit tests)
- Participate in SCRUM rituals and collaborate with the team to deliver user stories
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to other team members
- Participate in the full software delivery process from writing the code to putting it in the hands of customers
- Participate in technical discussions and provide creative solutions to complex problems
Key Requirements:
- Strong capability in .Net 4.0+, C#, Web API , SQL (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL, etc.)
- Strong capability in automated testing frameworks and approaches (Unit, Integration, Acceptance/End to End)
- Experience in an Agile Scrum/Kanban environment
- Solid Understanding of software delivery processes and tools, e.g. CI/CD
- Ability to work in a structured logical way and not jump into a solution without fully understanding it
- Fluency in English
- Experience supporting and enhancing applications used by a large number of external users and dealing with the challenges
- Understanding of design patterns such as CQRS and why and when to use them
- Functional understanding of cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google)
- Solid understanding of relational databases and ORMs (SQL Server and Entity Framework)
- Proactively seek knowledge about new tools and technologies to find better solutions to technical problems
