Manager, Accounting - PM
This position is for Indonesia controllership based in Indonesia specifically focused on managing the financial accounting key responsibilities and ensuring compliance with finance related regulatory requirements.
The position requires a qualified individual who is knowledgeable in IFRS, hands-on, detailed and highly motivated with the ability to integrate accounting principles with organizational practices and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Month end close
- Responsible for monthly financial close and reporting. Requires close working relationship with internal finance shared service center (“GBSC”).
- Responsible for reviewing profit & loss and balance sheet statements.
- Perform reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and work closely with GBSC to identify and resolve issues/aged balances.
- Lead and manage statutory audits for Indonesia entity. Partner with service provider to deliver good quality financial statements to external auditors.
- Manage audit fee negotiations
- Work with various stakeholders to support Indonesia internal audit.
- Co-ordinate with service provider and regional tax teams on various indirect tax & corporate tax filings
- Review indirect tax filings
- Preparation of yearly withholding tax, value added tax and cash flow reconciliations
- Support tax team on tax queries, tax audits and annual tax computations
- Preparation of quarterly unaudited financial statements for Bank of Indonesia (BI)
- Co-ordinate with Regulatory team and Country team to meet other BI’s reporting requirements.
- Support the operationalization of any new business models.
- Ad-hoc projects as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent and at least 7 years relevant work experience. CPA/ CA preferred.
- Must have good knowledge of Indonesian FRS and IFRS. Knowledge of US GAPP is preferred.
- Prior experiences in external audit, with a Big Four firm
- Proficiency in MS office especially Excel and PowerPoint. MS Access skills preferred. Excellent overall spreadsheet skills and comfortable working with various financial applications.
- Experience in Oracle financial systems and Hyperion preferred.
- Independent worker & thinker with the ability to follow up on time sensitive issues
- Proven communication skills with all levels of staff and management across different geographies and cultures.
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Indonesia
