Position: Head of Information Technology (IT) Operations
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Technology, with 8 years in engineering/technical leadership
- Excellent technical leadership, people management, project management, analytical problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Experienced in hiring and retaining engineering/technical talents and building high performing teams
- Experienced in releasing and maintaining high-volume, production-grade, web and mobile applications in distributed environments
- Excellent understanding of various engineering processes, including but not limited to Agile, CI/CD, observability, automated testing, release, quality, on-call, incidents, knowledge sharing
- Good understanding and working knowledge of current IT trends and innovations: Cloud Computing, Robotic Process Automation
- Proven people management experience with at least 5 years' experience in top leadership of a technology team displaying exceptional strategic, technical, analytical, and critical thinking with good business sense
- Certification in the relevant IT frameworks will be an added advantage: CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, PMBOK, TOGAF
- Provide strategic leadership to drive the design, realization, and operationalization of IT infrastructure and assets in accordance with best practices and governing regulatory standards for multi finance industry. Infrastructure includes physical Data Center, Virtual Private Cloud on multiple Public Cloud environment, network, and connectivity, as well as a wide range of client devices.
- Up to date with the current and future levels of IT security, threats, vulnerabilities that could impact assets. Uphold and maintain application security and user privacy.
- Supervising operations of: (a) software solutions released in the Production environment, (b) Cloud, Network, Data Center, and Server administration, and (c) infrastructure at physical branches and all office locations.
- Build operational IT budget. Responsible for monitoring IT activities and costs as related to the overall utilization of resources to ensure efficiency and optimization
- Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met, including security, scalability, availability, performance, monitoring process
- Supervise the management of vendors and suppliers providing IT products and services that include: (a) development resources, (b) resources for managed service, (c) hardware installed on-premises, (d) applications installed on-premises and on-client-devices, (e) SaaS, and (f) IaaS.
- Provide coaching, demonstrate leadership to the team
- Develop the IT Operations & Infrastructure team and their capabilities to face technical and organizational challenges in a technology-based financial company
- Effectively cultivate a culture of result-oriented and continuous improvement
- Foster a reputation among the tech community that will attract more talents
