A Senior Project Manager (part of CEO/COO Office) job has become available at a strongly backed gaming start up to support the COO in shaping business strategies and implementing operations to realise business goals and objectives.
About the Senior Project Manager Role:
This position is responsible for monitoring and assessing organisational performance, implementing processes that improve organisational effectiveness, strengthening internal communication and work process, and building sustainable competitive advantage for the operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess market trends and competitors, identify threats and opportunities, and present findings, projections, and recommended actions for operations teams
- Support the COO in optimising business processes, and leading organisational collaboration to promote company growth and productivity
- Assist operations teams in building short/mid/long-term business goals and objectives, developing integrated strategies, and setting strategic priorities in consultation with the COO
- Work closely with operations team leads to create, manage, and execute tasks and track milestone deliverables and coordinate with cross-functional teams on day-to-day operations, and harmonise organisational activities
- Ensure cross-team coordination and communication, task follow-up, schedule conflicts, and risk identification/recommendation
- Analyse data and help operations teams to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and suggest improvements to existing business strategies to drive growth
- Monitor and evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures and measure the effectiveness of all processes internal and external, and Identify issues, propose solutions, and improve existing work processes to optimise organisational work flows
- Monitor the day-to-day operations and ensure all initiatives of operations teams are completed in a timely fashion and within budget
- Identify potential issues, developing hypotheses, and communicating insights and recommendations to the COO
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly business review and plan reports working with operation team leads with rigorous qualitative and quantitative analyses to drive toward strategic recommendations
- Define reporting metrics, enable measurement mechanisms, and create data-based visuals offering insights to operations and management teams
- Manage and contribute to regular and ad hoc strategic projects
- Support operations teams in the preparation of presentation materials to communicate plan, proposal, and performance results with key findings and recommendations
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Strategy, Economics, Marketing, Business Management, or related fields
- Six or more years' experience in a global gaming, entertainment, IT, and tech company
- Two or more years' experience in a consulting firm, or in a recognised strategy consulting business
- Efficiency-oriented, anticipative thinking, strong logics, analytical and planning skills, very well organised with the ability to develop cutting-edge strategies and business plans
- Ability to solve unexpected problems, prioritise work for a cross-functional team, and identify and mitigate risks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of project management frameworks, tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and time line
- Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures with a results-driven mindset
- Experience in coaching scrum teams, management, and collaborators on new ways of working including known industry standard methodologies and new trends
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good communication, presentation, project management, and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
