- Determining what data must be returned to the application and writing queries for it
- Optimizing any existing queries to speed up performance
- Creating and designing tables when modules are added to a software product
- Reviewing current database design and making suggestions for better performance
- Creating table indexes that optimize query speeds
- Determining the right stored procedures, views, and functions for the application
- Help write and optimize in application SQL statements
- Ensure performance, security and availability of database
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Ensure the data quality and integrity in database
- Develop best practices for database design and development activities
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular database (specifically : Microsoft SQL server)
- Experience with some of the modern relational database
- Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
- Knowledge of best practice when dealing with relational databases
- Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
- Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
- Strong in analytical thinking skill & problem solving
- Good logical thinking and fast learner
- You able to work fast and under pressured
- You have excellent interpersonal communication skills
- You willing to work overtime and in tight deadline
