About the role
The Specialist OHS will be responsible for executing occupational health & safety programs so as safe working environments established
In this role, you will:
- Lead by example to promote the realization of ONE HSE culture in the project.
- Ensure Thiess standard, client requirements and applicable government regulations are complying in daily project operations.
- Ensure the operational activities comply with Thiess standard and applicable Government Regulation.
- Ensure lead indicator targets achieved by individual and provide monitoring on the target achievement by supervisor on field e.g.: Inspection, JO, CCV, and other programs run by project.
- Ensure all action plans (from incident investigation, audit, inspection, hazard report, CCV, etc.) identified and recorded has been followed up and completed.
- Actively train, coach and mentor the team member or the operational team member to improve their OHS competency.
- Enter all information into Synergy if required, e.g.: Event, Action Plan, Hazard report, etc.
- Bachelor/Diploma Degree in mining OHS and/or Environmental
- Minimum 3 years in Mining Industries in same position
- Demonstrate your understanding on OHS Management and environment management system
- Proficient in computer literacy, English Language, Government regulation relates Health & Safety and their implementation
- Computer literate
