Role and Responsibilities
1. Application deployment to cloud service providers
2. Service monitoring and alert management
3. Ensure uptime and manage service high availability
4. Participate in service architecture and infrastructure planning
5. On-call support outside of working hours
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required
- 2 years of experience with Linux systems and application deployment to these stacks
- Demonstrated proficiency with one or more relevant programming or scripting languages for automation like Linux shell script or Python
- Familiar with SCM and CI/CD tools, i.e. GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI and Ansible
- Knowledge of relational databases, i.e. PostgreSQL or MySQL, and non-relational databases, i.e. MongoDB, Cassandra or FoundationDB
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Cacti or Datadog
- Working knowledge of container/micro service patterns and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- General knowledge of networking, routing, firewall and load balancing
- Hands-on experience with cloud platform such as AWS, GCP or Azure. Certified engineers are much preferred
