ROLE PURPOSE
Stress and any other mental health problems could affect anybody in this world. Humanitarian worker is also one of the professions that can be affected to stress. Staff who worked for humanitarian organization also could be affected while implementing humanitarian assistance to beneficiaries. This is mean that stress at work also can affect Save The Children’s staff as well. Save The Children through MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) Program would like to help its staffs to prevent and overcome MHPSS issues that could affect its staffs. MHPSS Program will be delivered on 2021 to help children, their family, and Save The Children’s staff to improve their psychological well-being. One of the main objectives of Save The Children’s MHPSS Program is Piloting and Expanding MHPSS Activities for Staff. This year's activities in objective 4 will focus on support equipment for staff wellbeing dedicated spaces at the Education Offices in Jakarta and Bandung, promote MHPSS through office/remote messaging to support the psychosocial well-being, organize MHPSS activities, continue to provide external professional counseling services, and develop a Pocket Guide for staff well-being during emergency response. To ensure these activities can run according to the program timeline, technical support personnel are needed to help organize these activities and will work closely with MHPSS Program Coordinator and POD team.
CONSULTANCY OBJECTIVES
In close coordination with Program Coordinator, Technical Support Staff will be conducting the following activities:
- Organize activities to promote MHPSS awareness for staff both online and offline, including identifying resource persons, preparing terms of reference, and completing other supporting documents related to activities,
- Ensure that equipment for staff wellbeing dedicated spaces at the Education Office in Jakarta and Bandung is properly received and used according to its function,
- Support Consultant who are preparing the Pocket Guide for staff well-being during emergency response, by arranging discussion activities with humanitarian staff, ensuring that the preparation of the Pocket Guide is completed according to the timeline, and preparing supporting documents for the invoice payment process from consultant,
- Organize and participate in staff wellbeing activities proposed by staff in Jakarta and Bandung
- He or she has understanding and experience in organizing activities on the MHPSS program
- He or she has skills in managing administrative processes
- He or she has good communication skills to build relationships with staff and teams
- He or she is prepared to travel out of town if necessary to participate in MHPSS activities
