About our Engineering Manager position:
This position sits within our eBenefits & Fintech squad. This team is building brand new first of it's kind products, which improve the employee experience and help our users manage their salaries, as well as stretching their salaries further.
In this new position of Engineering Manager in our growing team, you:
- Are responsible for building a remote team of engineers by hiring, managing, coaching, career development and performance review.
- Are responsible for architecture, design, quality and software practices.
- Are able to closely collaborate with colleagues across design, product and engineering for timely and high-quality delivery.
- Support and facilitate decision-making, whilst removing roadblocks.
- foster a healthy collaborative engineering culture.
- Will work across borders, with many of your colleagues situated around the world (the benefits of a remote-first environment!).
- You have experience in a similar role, such as Engineering Manager, preferably from a company that produces software/SaaS products
- You are passionate about building high-performing engineering teams with great culture
- You respect and challenge your peers and team members, plus you welcome being challenged
- You have good communication skills in English
- Passion for mentoring engineers and helping others achieve their career goals
- Able to influence people not just within engineering, but also cross-functionally with product, quality, infrastructure and beyond.
- Prior working experience as a Senior Back-End or Full-Stack Software Engineer
- Experience with Typescript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, AWS
- Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience working in modular monoliths and microservice architectures
- Experience in cloud native architectures
- Experience working in cross-functional, product teams
- Experience working within the Fintech space
