The Tegal city team is a young/established/longstanding team responsible for running Grab business and operations in the cities within the region. We make an impact by driving to all business units of GrabCar, GrabBike, Grab express and GrabKios Business operations. We are responsible in developing and driving the right strategy to win the market and shape the ideal supply demand equilibrium while building sustainable business model City Operations is fully responsible for all city budget and target. The team need to be able to create a quick wins and long term strategy to accelerate growth. The team need to also have the muscle skills to execute the strategy in timely manner.
Get to know the Role
We are looking for City Lead Tegal to lead the business, operations and represent Grab in Tegal. We believe a successful candidate has several key skills such as : leadership, complex problem solving, data analysis, critical and structured thinking and project management. Fully responsible on managing internal team and external parties such as partners, local governance, rental owner. Managing city will be variance depend with city characteristic and will need managerial skills to manage the operational in the city. You will be growing Grab the already strong presence in your area You will maintain the customer both from drivers and passenger satisfaction level in your area
The Day-to-Day Activities:
Responsible to lead the overall Grab business and operations in Yogyakarta, driving hyperlocal strategy, collaborate initiatives with external and internal stakeholders to grow business in Medan
You are responsible to own the P&L for both topline and bottomline of the business, ensuring the business is running in sustainable growth
You will lead the analytical and conceptual problem solving initiatives with the agility to shift directions as quickly as needed
Accountable to understand the market and competition dynamics, agile on facing the competitive landscape and driving a viable business

Accountable to accept challenging assignments, help leaders make tough decisions, partner and overcome obstacles to deliver results
Responsible in identifying, comprehending and synthesizing internal and industry data, creating hypothesis of trends and assessing business risk
You will need to do all internal and external stakeholder management
You will need to maintain operational standard in your city
You will need to be able to extract insights from data, trends, survey and market intelligence
You will be in charge of growth and achieve numbers
You will make sure our level of service quality to both Customer side is in exceptionally good stage to minimize complaints
You expected to manage cost effectiveness/ efficiency and deliver operational and financial target within designated financial cost
You are expected to track spending on timely manner
The Must-Haves:
Bachelors/Master degree preferably in management, analytics, business or engineering
You showcase excellent leadership skills in leading young and talented teams and ability to connect with people across teams
You are knowledgeable of business process management, identifying, assessing and controlling risk and successful initiatives execution
You have strong written, oral and presentation communication skills, ability to adjust and guide discussions at multiple management levels
Strong foundation in analysis skill using tools like tableau, powerBI, excel and other similar tools
Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant work as city manager, sales/revenue generator, business analyst or management consultant
Willing to be placed in Semarang Good in written and spoken English
Excellent in data and analytical skills
Excellent in presentation, negotiation skills and people management skills
Excellent in government affairs skills
Minimum 2-3 years of primary experience in sales and partnership
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word Other systems & tools to help implementation and tracking
Excellent communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills that enable one to work with people at all levels, to motivate and empower whenever necessary
Experience in strategy and consulting is a plus point
Able to make key business decisions or provide solid recommendations based on data & analytical thinking
Self-starter and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about the social mission and making a positive impact in emerging markets
The Nice-to-Haves:
You have experience with creating dashboard of tableau, powerBI, etc
You are an experienced with SQL and Python
