- Design and implement new business strategy working with your team to drive new business growth, executing on identified opportunities, and ensuring sales discipline
- Drive the creation, and lead the execution of, focused Client Account Plans on key accounts focused on driving key relationships and optimising our business opportunities
- Build and work with the sales team to enhance sales efforts and develop sales strategies to win new business.
- Increase sales conversion through deploying rigorous sales processes, pricing, contracting, and negotiation to win business across multiple travel industry channels.
- Actively coach the team members to improve business development skills in order to harness new opportunities and develop stronger client relationships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders to support business expansion
- Continuously evaluate current business processes and systems to maximise quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Review financial statements, sales, and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
- Evaluate and decide upon key business investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.
- Maintaining relationships with vendors who supply insurance products and services to the company
The successful candidate will be able to show:
- Strong previous experience in a dynamic general management role within the Insurance industry.
- Travel insurance or travel industry experience would also be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly grow a new business segment within a market by capitalising on opportunities and developing a strong sales culture.
- Business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to make sound decisions for the business.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Insurance or an associated field.
- Fluency in English both written and verbal is A MUST.
