The Senior Partnership Development Manager will be part of the SafeWater leadership team.

What is the job about?
The successful candidate will lead and conceptualize new business models, develop and operationalize projects in collaboration with a multitude of internal and external partners. Together with your implementing team you will be involved end-to-end including funding, negotiation, implementation and documentation of the projects.

You will collaborate closely with all business units across Grundfos to help realise the strategy we are following to reach 300 million people with water - and make sure we deliver on what we promise.

As this is a position operating globally within and outside Grundfos, we are flexible about where you are based.

Your main responsibilities will involve:
  • Giving direction and leading the Ghana Water Initiative, a micro utility operating under a public-private partnership in Ghana, as well as the partnership stream.
  • Strategy development and tactical deployment plans.
  • Developing new business concepts and identifying resources and partners for selected projects and establishing agreements.
  • Managing pipeline and following up on already successfully sold partnership projects.
  • Identifying innovative business models enabling fundraising and scaling successful projects.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a goal-focused person with proven commercial acumen who has true relationship intelligence. The right candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to navigate effortlessly in multi-cultural settings and in a global matrix organisation, where collaboration is the key to success. Most importantly, you must buy into our vision and fit in with our team culture of deep collaboration, high energy and a “can-do” attitude.

We imagine that you:
  • Have more than 10 years' experience in purpose-driven sales or management consulting within the energy or water-access sectors;
  • Are comfortable working with technical solutions, go-to-market strategies, new business models and financial modeling in the Asian or African region;
  • Have made your mark in a global, matrix organisation;
  • Have experience in complex stakeholder management and strategic partnerships;
  • Have a track record of successful project management and funding;
  • Are proficient in English, and preferably French as well;
  • Are willing to spend six to eight weeks a year travelling.
