- Ensure that plant & equipment is used and maintained in accordance with manufacturers requirements.
- Responsible for the health and safety of employees and self through education, training, enforcement, and demonstration of the right behaviours.
- Plan, organise and direct the asset and maintenance operations to ensure the most effective return on assets.
- Monitor the cost and effectiveness of maintenance activities to optimise resources, priorities spending and maintain projected cost variance within budget for equipment.
- Takes a broad view of organisational capability; assesses the needs of the business and takes action to meet long-term capability needs.
- Degree in Engineering or Mining or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a large open cut mining operation, with 5 years in production/service supervision/ management role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance management principles and practice.
- Analytical understanding of financial reporting and their impact on profitability
- Understanding about Operational Health Safety & Environment requirements.
