Our client is one of the fastest leading fintech startups in Southeast Asia that has been recognized as one of the unicorn companies in Indonesia. They are handling end-to-end credit and financial services.
They are looking for a principal engineer to lead substantial system improvements and redesign the current financial software systems to provide a foundation that is more scalable
Job Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of code reviews, design reviews, and architecture talks in order to deliver high-performance, dependable, scalable, and available distributed systems to millions of users.
- You will define the domain architecture and technology stack for your organization's technology, guiding the implementation of medium and long-term technology investments.
- You will also be the organization's and your product domains' steward for strong engineering quality and practices.
- While actively participating in development alongside team members, you are also a tech evangelist, serving as a role model of our engineering culture by teaching more junior engineers in order to promote engineering best practices and good habits.
- Passion for software engineering, product development, organizational growth, and people development
- Strong technical leadership on vision and setting direction for a complex system in a medium-to-large organization
- Experience with design, development, and operations of highly available (24/7) and large-scale distributed systems with millions or more users Excellent understanding of software engineering concepts, algorithms, and design patterns
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills are required to handle both technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership and independence to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup setting.
- Knowledge of the Go/NodeJS tech stack and cloud services is advantageous.
- Knowledge of any database system stack.
