POLICY
Develop Roche’s positions on relevant policy issues in Indonesia, drive cross-functional consensus around these positions and craft policy position documents, talking points, and other materials for internal and external communication
Partner with industry leaders, trade associations, civil society organizations (including patient organizations), think tanks, and other external stakeholders to build support for our policy positions
Work closely with Healthcare System Partner and other internal stakeholders at the national level to help them advocate our policy positions in executive, regulatory, and legislative settings
Work closely with communications team to create and execute compelling communication strategies around our policy priorities
Monitor and analyze policy issues and developments of importance to Roche and its therapeutic areas and provide strategic advice to relevant internal stakeholders on these matters
Partner with therapeutic areas and business teams across Roche’s global offices to understand and counsel on the policy implications of strategic decisions
PATIENT PARTNERSHIP
Defining the strategic patient engagement plan including PP strategy and execution, proactively seeking input from other functions who are responsible for their own integrated activities. (e.g. policy, communications, market research, etc.)
Acting as catalyst/accelerator to propose and facilitate engagements between patient groups and internal functions, providing advice & support to internal teams
Serving as the accountable point of contact for patient groups to enable effective partnerships and avoid overburdening key relationships
Maintaining oversight of all Roche engagements with patient groups
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years experience in policy settings, prior health policy experience preferred
Passionate about public policy (experience with health policy preferred)
Experience working with government officials, industry partners, and civil society organizations
Skilled at advocating complex policy positions before a wide variety of audiences, persuasively and diplomatically
Experience in patient group relations and understand community dynamics
Adept at building relationships at the individual level and coalitions at the organization level
Sweats the details of complicated and nuanced issues, from a policy, business, and relationships perspective
Guided by a personal integrity that reflects Roche’s core values and commitment to our users’ trust
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
