RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this position is to generate energy models for existing multifamily buildings, analyze energy and water conservation measures, develop scopes of work, and aid in report production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Energy & Sustainability:
· Responsible for identifying energy and water conservation measures and accurately calculating savings and cost estimates for economic analysis.
· Generate scopes of work that satisfy program requirements.
· Perform renewable energy feasibility and generation assessments.
· Be in-house expert on energy models and energy savings calculations.
· Create in-house spreadsheet calculator for energy and water savings measures.
· Conduct site visits and perform in-field audit of multifamily buildings.
· Input utility information into Portfolio Energy Manager
· Perform energy use analysis and end-use breakdown.
Project Management Process:
· Ensure that all involved in the delivery of the project understand the scope of work to meet the customer's specification.
· Ensure that each project runs in conjunction with the QHSE processes including the Construction Phase Plan. That each person involved in the project is proven to have the required skills.
· Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on each project. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and timeline.
· Ensure the supply partners on site are aware of all items required for the project files, H&S, tool box talks, RAMS, site audits, commissioning, O&M's, permits to work etc
· Be in attendance on site for the works inclusive of any out of hour's requirements.
· Ensure all variations to the works are captured and reported to the HoP/PM.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BS) from four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum Five years of related experience and/or training preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Engineer-in-training (EIT) required. Professional Engineer (PE), BPI Multifamily Building Analyst (MFBA), AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Excel.
Proficiency with energy savings calculation spreadsheets.
Experience with Energy Modeling
Experience in delivering Project Management consultancy
Experience conducting energy audits.
Use of EnergySTAR Portfolio Manager
Responsible for completing assigned projects according to project schedule.
Requires knowledge of economic terms and principles.
Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as simple payback, savings to investment ratio,
Proficiency with TREAT Energy Modeling & Assessment software.
Experience conducting energy audits of multifamily buildings.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
