Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing is looking for a Immigration Specialist based out of Indonesia to provide oversight of mobility activities across sites in the Asia Pacific region and perform strategic activities to ensure manager and employee success with relocation and assignment services.
Position RAA:
- Provides immigration planning guidance and support to business partners, hiring managers, recruiters, and other process partners to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and agreements.
- Proactively communicates with, educates and trains end users and process partners on immigration and related mobility processes.
- Participates fully in the up-front business planning and consulting process (OBIP, Business Case, Recruiters, Hiring managers, etc.) when immigration impacts could be relevant.
- Manages employee escalations to a satisfactory conclusion, including supplier engagement and conducting after-action reviews.
- Analyzes business situations and, in partnership with Mobility suppliers, develops and recommends compliant immigration solutions as appropriate.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for our employees, interacting with them on a daily basis assisting with a multitude of general HR needs and helping with a standard set of HR service and benefits offerings. This position also supports the broader HR community and leaders with transactional and administrative activities.
Representative Major Tasks performed with occasional direction and guidance:
- Serves as a Boeing primary subject matter expert (SME) for:
- Technical immigration matters for Indonesia, and/or business units as assigned.
- Business planning and process partner/OBIP consulting for Indonesia.
- Proactively guides employees and managers successfully through the immigration processes with proper follow-through and to meet business objectives.
- Supplier, Process Partner, Business Partner and Employee Service integration and problem resolution.
- Business travel screening process and service oversight.
- Lead or Support team project initiatives and provide subject matter expertise on Indonesia immigration related topics.
- Educates business and process partners on Indonesia immigration and related mobility topics.
- Participates in supplier governance activities related to Indonesia immigration:
- Maintains positive professional relationships with immigration service providers.
- Provides guidance to suppliers ensuring clear understanding of business objectives and requirements.
- Troubleshoots individual case escalations as needed and systemic service provider issues.
- Identifies immigration supplier performance issues to team leaders to manage Service Level Agreement and metrics standards.
- Partners with Regional Relocation Experience Specialists, ensuring their awareness and support of immigration topics applicable within their regions and working collaboratively to meet business customer goals.
Indonesia Business Traveller Visa Support
- Administer business visa application on local visa system
- Coordinating visa payment with related parties
- Monitor traveler immigration compliance and/or tracking validity
- Support for contractors and non-fully integrated subsidiaries with appointed immigration agencies
- Administer applications include but not limited to ensure individual data accuracy, company documentation requirements
- Work closely with Total Rewards team in obtaining compensation data to support work permit application
- Strategize complex immigration process focusing on business units / program objectives
- Representing company at local immigration office(s) as required
- Review and finalize annual reporting requirements for foreign manpower utilization
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with Indonesian immigration (work permit and business visa)
- Experience with dealing with Indonesian authorities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Minimum two years immigration related work experience.
- Fluent in Indonesian (written and spoken)
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Demonstrated business partnering or consulting skills
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and manage multiple activities concurrently
- Proficient with EXCEL, WORD and Power Point
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
