The Performance Test Manager will be responsible to ensure that our products and solutions are reliable, stable, and meet quality standards in extreme usage scenarios. The ideal candidate will have a background in early-stage product companies, and experience in performance testing, API and mobile testing, and continuous integration.
The Performance Test Manager will work with Test Leads, Architects, and Development teams to create and execute performance testing plans, analyze results, and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter and Jira, and experience working with cloud and Open API platforms, design patterns, datastores, and scalable architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide performance testing solutions for major projects.
- Work on payments and other products of the organization and try to bring about innovations and enrichments.
- Interface with Test Lead, architects, and development teams to ensure the quality and experience of products and solutions are in line with expectations.
- Perform system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity, and scalability.
- Develop performance test plans and cases and analyze test results.
- Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes.
- Design, review, and execute both manual and automated test cases.
- Document test plans and test results by translating product requirements to detailed test cases and capture product test scenarios.
- Exhibit and promote a collaborative culture that embodies our principles.
- Support various audit and certification activities.
- Stay up-to-date with new technology trends.
- Participate in technology POCs and support the evaluation of different technologies and platforms.
- At least 4+ years of experience as a performance test engineer in a reputed firm.
- Knowledge in Payments which includes payment switch, C&S, authorization, disputes, etc.
- Prior experience in executing performance benchmarking for at least 2 systems/solutions.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter and test management tools like Jira.
- Must be comfortable working in an early stage to growth stage company and should be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Have a proven track record of success in previous roles and have worked in a similar setting, such as a Pre series A-B company will be a plus
- A leader who takes fun in taking risks and understands that taking calculated risks is necessary for growth. They should have the ability to balance risk-taking with sound decision-making to build something innovative and groundbreaking
- Strong knowledge in API and mobile testing.
- Knowledge in continuous integration using Jenkins.
- Good knowledge of DB concepts and writing SQL queries.
- Good knowledge of CI/CD and have experience in framework integration with CI/CD.
- Understanding of different technologies, cloud and Open API platforms, design patterns, datastores, and scalable architectures.
- Knowledge in performance testing and security testing are preferred.
- Prior experience in PCI-DSS certification, processor certification is preferred.
- Background in an early-stage product company for Pre Series A-B funding is preferred
