A Regional Sales Manager (Utilities) job has just become available at a leading building materials company.
About the Regional Sales Manager (Utilities) Role:
This role will ensure profitable growth in sales, revenue through planning, execution and management of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish clear sales objectives for each team member
- Create a distinct sales process and marketing strategies for sales managers and reps to follow
- Educate the sales team on new or upcoming products and services
- Conduct periodic monitoring, evaluation, survey and market analysis to provide input in the preparation of an effective and efficient sales strategy
- Continually monitor and track regional sales performance
- Plan, direct, monitor and evaluate sales work systems in the region as well as accurate and effective strategies to achieve the company's sales targets
- Analyse monthly sales outcomes and create reports for upper management
- Manage sales based on predetermined sales strategies and volumes (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) by optimising the roles of the company-related parties (subordinates, shops, agents, etc.)
- Build and maintain positive client and customer relationships
- Attend trade shows and conventions as needed
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field is preferred
- Minimum of five years in the building materials industry and ability to work in both a reactive and proactive environment
- Sales experience in the mining sector
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- History of success in building a regional market
- Natural leader with proven management skills
- Experience forecasting sales and building a customer base
