- Department Head role, reporting straight to BOD (which then leads to more strategic role of decision making)
- Representing the Company in any general corporate commercial legal matters
- Supervise team of subordinates in a medium to large Legal team
- Maintaining governmental relationship building;
- Conducting training to employees related to legal matters;
- Advising the management team on various legal issues
- Dispute resolution settlement & litigation or arbitration
- Updating the management team of the Company on any newly-issued laws and regulations related to the business of the Company;
- Keeping good corporate governance throughout the Company's business activities (including compliance and company secretary matters);
- Managing legal related matters of the Company's affiliated company
- Excellent understanding on mining law and corporate law
- Highly experienced in corporate action matters
- Experienced in various range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents; control and manage the regulatory affair related with company, BKPM, OSS, Industrial Relations, Company certificates and legal documents. Candidates needs to maintain good relation with government, and local
- Holds a Law degree from a reputable university, a Masters degree is preferable
- Minimum a total of 12 years' experience in legal function at similar extractive industry, familiarity with Nickel and Coal mining - familiarity in Smelter project is a plus
- Experienced upon reporting to Board of Directors, and handling subordinates
- Ability to navigate through regulatory barriers and strategize to find a solution to overcome such barriers, can work with minimum supervision
- Has deep knowledge of legal aspects and contract drafting with excellent communication, negotiation, networking, management, and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated, with an ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment
- Fluent in English, both oral and writing
