About this role
Do you find purpose in connecting the digital with the physical world? As the MEP BIM Modeller you will lead the digital delivery of projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary design and construction teams across all project phases, ensuring coordination, issues and actions are resolved by the appropriate stakeholder and reflected in the Federated Models, BIM and CAD deliverables.
What will I do?
- Lead MEP BIM modelling on major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Resolve (or direct, coach or train others in thea team to resolve) complex multidisciplinary modelling, engineering and design issues through coordination and liaison with internal Arup parties and external parties.
- Setup and maintain Federated Models using Navisworks, Solibri, Revizto or Revit from consultant/trade models.
- Be accountable for significant and complex activities on projects. This will require predicting and planning for the future in order to estimate staff resources required to deliver BIM and CAD on projects in support of and for inclusion in tenders, bids, leads and expressions of interest. Resourcing needs may necessitate the candidate to support the BIM and CAD Team Leader to interview and recruit new staff, manage subcon agreements, or share resources with other Arup offices.
- Develop automation routines to support productivity.
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Working knowledge of at least one primary 3D BIM product including configuration, set-up and management of models supported by a common data environment.
- A minimum of 10 years relevant MEP BIM Modelling experience in the engineering/construction industry and built environment.
- Working knowledge of software including Autodesk Revit, 12D, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Solibri, ProjectWise.
