Job Purpose and Impact
The Product and Process Development technician is responsible to perform trials in pilot scale, monitor and to ensure the scale-up process in the factory, liaising with a cross-functional team that consists of Technical Service, FSQR and Operation. He/she needs to maintain the pilot plant facility and to ensure compliance with safety, GMP and food safety requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Providing technical support in projects to develop and/or improve cocoa-based products and production processes.
- Manage lab and pilot trials and raw material preparation. Execute pilot trial within timeline given.
- Arrange and perform factory trial from the preparation until closure.
- Drawing up and executing an action plan for experiments.
- Collecting samples, recording the process conditions, solving common problems during testing in consultation with the process operators and the food technologists; Analyzing the properties of the products made during the experiments.
- Data analysis via statistical software and reporting based on the analysis with conclusions, associated recommendations and recommendations for follow-up tests.
- Ensure all lab equipment are safe to use, in a good shape and maintained/tested as per schedule.
- Maintain PPD physical inventory, such as raw material, consumables and packaging material.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in food science/technology, chemical engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of food production and preparation
- Have two/three years of related work experience in product development/R&D
- Passionate in product development and innovation
