Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
We are presently seeking a Process Engineer – Optic that will be responsible sustain and improve production yield in thin film coating process. This position will work closely with other department to resolve issues, initiate, and develop continuous improvement projects, and ensure appropriate quality management system is implemented.
Main responsibilities:
- Sustain and improve quality, yield, cost and cycle time, and sustain process stability by using statistical technique;
- Develop process specification or standard operating procedure;
- Initiate continuous improvement project to eliminate / reduce waste and chronic issues;
- Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes;
- Work with cross-functional support teams on projects and product transfers;
- Maintain compliance to occupational health and safety practice in day to day job.
- Holds minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferable from physic, chemical or mechanical engineering
- Have minimum 3 years of experiences in manufacturing industry, preferred in similar role;
- Familiar in working with engineering tools, such as QC Tools, SPC, and FMEA;
- Hold certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or any Continuous Improvement courses will an added advantage;
- Able to demonstrate good leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal skill and communication skill;
- Able to communicate in English both in speaking and writing;
