Copywriter (Indonesia)
Maker Lab supports clients across technology, entertainment, financial services and the payments industry. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join an exciting project we’ve embarked on with our client, a leading entertainment brand.
As a Copywriter, you will ideate, craft and pen regional marketing activities and manage the social editorial calendar for the Indonesian market. Your words will reach and ideally move, engage and nurture a diverse group of audiences, bringing the client’s brand to life while striving to build brand love and a sense of community.
You are a storyteller and a story-maker with a passion for entertainment and will be a fierce guardian and brand custodian through our tone of voice and when representing the client’s one.

Role:
- You will be responsible for always-on social content curation efforts, from research and ideation to final expression.
- You are also expected to flex your copywriting expertise to support digital marketing initiatives and brand campaign efforts across functions.
- You will be a key member of a content team and must be comfortable with leading brainstorms for original creative campaigns with your partner-in-crime from the art and marketing department.
- You will be a vocal advocate for the newest and boldest trends in copywriting and creativity; and will be tasked to share experiences and learnings to stimulate collective growth.
- Plan and pen always-on digital/social media editorial content in line with existing content strategy for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Localise and nuance global/regional campaigns through copy for increased local relevance.
- Partner with designers to produce visuals that are social-by-design.
- Ideate creative campaigns and executions for heat moments and product launches.
- Proactive finessing and optimisation of copy to improve social content performance.
- Lead internal sharing on creativity, copywriting and social content best practices; and champion creative excellence.
- Coordinate communication across a range of regional stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
- Research industry topics to spot new content worth sharing.
- Develop internal communication materials.
- 6+ years of copywriting experience, with prior experience and a proven track record in social media and digital content strategy within an agency, consultancy or technology companies
- Passionate about all things content marketing, content creation, social and creative
- Ability to work autonomously with a self-starter attitude in a start-up-like environment.
- Strong project management skills, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly evolving matrix organisation.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentation skills and, ideally, fluent in Bahasa Indonesia to support local projects
