Business Function

Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. In an increasingly borderless world marked by burgeoning trade flow, expertise in trade finance services is an invaluable asset. With cash the lifeblood of every company, so too, is a good understanding of how to manage these cashflows. Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.

Requirements * Implement tactical plans to increase utilization as well as other sales tool to track sales pipeline, call programs, sales statistics, client management review etc;
  • Make periodic calls and/or visit to customers to build rapport/relationship, ask for more business, feedback on our service levels and performance, feedback on what competition is doing in the market;
  • Ensure all internal and external reports are prepared and completed correctly and accurately and within the time frame
  • Obtain competitive information with regard to functionalities, capabilities and product features of our competitor's products, pricing/rate and services. Such information should be channelled to Product Management and/or Supervisor to facilitate product development/enhancement;
  • Handle customer service issues relating to the products, policy gap, channel distribution and to review the existing process experienced by customers and liase with Product Manager or other party to streamline the process to be more efficient and effective to attend customer input and enable customer routing more transaction with DBSI;
  • Build effective working relationship with others accross teams to ensure that service standards agreed with customers are being met and that the service levels provided are competitive in the market; Interact and coordinate with sales team and/or RM regarding any new opportunities on existing customer business; Maintain cleanliness of working station and ensure "clean desk" policy is followed.
  • Proactively to have periodic socialization, training, and update in regards the detail of standard product, new policy and procedure related to trade finance and product enhancement to internal party (DBSI's stakeholder) and external party (customer, vendors). The session may in forms of seminar, gathering or training;
  • To conduct other tasks given by Supervisor (related to Trade Finance matters; MIS, Product Development, Champion for specific industry/commodities etc);
Requirements * Bachelor Degree from reputable university.
  • Have minimum 2 years of experience in sales/marketing or operation related to trade finance and/or trade business.
  • Having good product knowledge, features and capabilities, regulatory, legal, tax etc.
  • Having good knowledge of customer's requirements/expectations and trends/drivers in the market place.
  • Having selling and marketing skills and able to effectively market product through advertisements, participation in conferences, seminars, development of marketing collaterals.
