WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE
To perform all financial-related tasks, i.e., ensure that month-end closing and variance analysis for the factory is performed and completed. Product cost planning (including the ASP Process), monthly outlooks, inventory management and control, and variance actuals are all coordinated and delivered on time and accurately. To prepare and provide financial and operational data for management for effective decision-making. Maintenance of financial and operational systems Ensuring all legal requirements in respect of duties and taxes are complied with.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement financial controls over all aspects of the factory to ensure that corporate assets are safeguarded, fully complying with operational policies and controls and a single point of contact for the statutory and internal audits and compliance for the factory.
- Responsible for product cost standards are developed for Leaf and NTM with accurate assumptions and submitted by meeting the deadlines without any delay for all the planning cycles (ASP, LE, and Monthly Outlooks).
- Actual variances are analysed and used as a basis to do the quarterly forecast. Prepare and present the product cost financial performance on time. Respond to all queries about the outlook and quarterly forecast to the GSC Finance HQ team as soon as possible.
- Participate in monthly or quarterly stock counts as assigned and complete ad hoc tasks in a timely manner as needed. Prepare and be accountable for cost estimates to markets, including a detailed comparison with planned assumptions.
- To aid line manager in developing local policies and procedures that are consistent with global policies. Participate actively in projects to improve GSC Finance operations by leveraging knowledge and experience.
- To develop and coach the team to make them ready for the talent pool from the GSC Finance team.
- University degree in Accounting; Professional Accounting license or certification is an advantage
- 3 to 5 years experience in management accounting and cost accounting
- Experience in the tobacco or manufacturing industry is an advantage
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Strong skills in ERP (SAP preferred), MS Excel, and Powerpoint
- Functional skills: Analytical, Leadership, Presentation, Interpersonal
