We are looking for hard-working, passionate people to join our growing e-commerce team. As a Junior UI Designer, you have an exciting role in working within our design team to assist in a wide array of creative projects from initial concept through to final execution. This position involves close collaboration with the content, development and product teams as well as other departments. Reporting to the UX/UI Designer, your role is to enhance e-commerce and content website experiences. The ideal candidate is someone who will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is also an all-around team player.
Responsibilities
- Work with the UX/UI Designers to deliver attractive user interfaces across a range of platforms and brands
- Assist the team in the design, development and implementation of our product components across multiple brands, identifying closely with associated UI design frameworks/kits and brand guidelines
- Keep up to date with the latest UI design and usability trends and techniques
- Maintain UI design kits and visual assets library across platforms and brands, paying close attention to detail and ensuring consistency
- Work with the E-Commerce Lead, Product Owners, Product Managers, Developers and UX/UI Designers to assess the impact of any UI changes/improvements
- Work with the UX/UI designers to ensure any UI design changes help to compliment the overall user experience and journey
- Design visual assets for day-to-day site content and digital marketing assets such as EDMs, campaign banners etc. when needed
- The ability to justify design decisions and the confidence to back them with data and insights
- Fluent in English
- 1-2 years experience in an agency or e-commerce environment
- Experience working with Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator or Sketch
- Basic knowledge and skills in HTML
- Digital imaging or photography skills are a bonus
- User Experience competencies are also a bonus
