Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
We are presently seeking a Production Unit Manager who will be responsible to manage of the manufacturing resources for Contact Lens to facilitate production to meet our goals for quality, profitability, on time delivery and to meet customer requirements. This role reports to Operation Manager.
Main responsibilities:
- Provides structured leadership to implement process control to ensure efficiency and quality in all manufactured products.
- Effective management of the manufacturing resources including the people, equipment, material, building, and process knowledge that are used to make the product.
- Work across departments including engineering, maintenance and technicians to ensure processes are created effectively for production
- Manage and lead supervisors, provide coaching and timely feedback.
- Improve operational performance as measured by on time delivery, job yields, cycle time and production costs.
- Embed a culture of operational excellence utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles
- Strong understanding in operational manufacturing KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably from mechanical, physics, and chemical engineering.
- 10+ years in manufacturing industry with 5+ years production management experience or relevant leadership experience.
- Must be familiar with problem solving tools and methodology. Lean leadership experience in a technical manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Hands on involvement in developing procedures comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001. Familiar with ISO13485 is an added advantage.
- Experience in on the job training management is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skill, fluent in English both speaking and writing.
