A Business Manager (Personal Care - Chemical) job has just opened up at a multinational chemicals company.
About the Business Manager (Personal Care - Chemical) Role:
You will be responsible for formulating strategies and implementation of company's sales objectives in the regional market and for achieving the market value share, turnover, and profit of the products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed budgeted sales and contribution margin in Indonesia
- Develop key account plans for targeted local accounts
- Seek and allocate resources (technical, supply chain, marketing, customer service, EHS, etc.) required to support the business
- Submit sales forecast and sales plan to support the business line strategy with an excellent understanding of customers' volumes and market trends
- Be responsible for pricing at each direct account and distributor, within guidelines specified by business rule. Goals are to reach maximum volume sales at best possible prices
- Pursue business growth through gaining new accounts, introducing new products, focusing on specialities/actives portfolio and identifying new application areas. Determine, document and execute opportunity pipelines
- Coordinate and support product promotional activities during exhibitions/trade shows and invite key customers to events
- Validate commercial market size estimations by using import statistics, bottom-up demand calculation and raw material consumption estimates
- Select the right distributors and business facilitators for the different product lines and market segments
- Manage performance of distributors by setting annual targets and utilising distributor scorecard
- Prioritise allocation of technical and supply chain resources for key customers and important projects for sustainable growth
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary education in chemistry/chemical engineer/science
- Eight years of relevant sales and technical working experience in the personal care industry
- Experience with customers from MNCs and international exposure
- Distributor management skills
- Good English standard (spoken and written).
- Proactive and sales-driven attitude
- Willing to travel 30-40% of their working days
- Able to work under minimum supervision with self-motivation
