The Role:

The primary focus of the Manager, People role is to support the growth agenda through strategic and operational People deliverables. Partnering with the Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Remuneration and Benefits, Legal and shared services teams to deliver the group strategy and business plans of the location. The individual will report to the Southeast Asia People Director.

Responsibilities
  • A trusted advisor and strategic partner to the assigned location and business units, consulting with line management on all employee-related matters including but not limited to, performance management, employee/industrial relations, remuneration and benefits, talent management and development, mobility (e.g., work and business visa), Diversity, equality & inclusion, organisational design and regulatory compliance.
  • Manages complex people projects cross-functionally. Collaborate with talent acquisition, third-party vendor(s), global mobility, and line management for recruitment in alignment with talent strategy and budgets.
  • Drive consistent HR processes (e.g., performance review, remuneration and incentive) and policies or enhancements that support the business and comply with local legislations and corporate requirements.
  • Ensuring robust talent and succession plans are in plan for all key capabilities within the portfolio and implement strategies (e.g., graduate hiring and people development) to meet business needs.
  • Aligns the people strategies with the business operations and oversees the execution of comprehensive talent strategies, initiatives, action plans and processes to improve critical organizational performance. Proactively identifies organizational issues through data and trends and brings forth recommendations/solutions.
  • Lead and champion HR strategies and programs (e.g., organisational development projects, organisation change initiatives, company-approved People systems, global policy/framework) that support business outcomes and build organizational and individual capabilities aligned to the corporate vision, mission, and culture.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations (e.g., employee grievances, code of conduct, termination) or other employment-related legal issues through conducting a thorough, objective and effective investigation in line with relevant local legislation and market best practices.
  • Represent the company’s interests and be appropriately aware of people developments by maintaining the necessary contact with industry HR networks, relevant industry bodies and government agencies in location.
Qualifications

Experience / Competencies Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  • Full spectrum of People functions, including advising and influencing at the leadership level.
  • Broad understanding of the industries that Worley operates in, preferred professional services or a large corporate with an energy or resources focus.
  • Possess leadership skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and resilience to work well under pressure with a multitude of competing priorities while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills in a complex, matrix and goal-driven organisation. Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of internal and external organisations and across cultures and countries.
  • Unquestionable integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfortable to challenge the status quo with a passion for delivering results in a dynamic environment.
  • A good team player with the ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with management and employees at all levels. Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and involvement.
  • Solid problem solving, decision making, employee relations and conflict management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word). Knowledge of Sharepoint, Oracle and Success Factor would be a plus.
