About the Payments team
The Payments team is building the infrastructure and ecosystem to connect local and regional businesses and their customers through a suite of last-mile payment products, including the Payment API and Payout API. Our APIs support a wide range of online and offline payment methods across Southeast Asia, making it easy for developers to integrate automated payments and payouts into their platforms
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who's passionate about improving and maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, and leading change within organization.
You will report to the Product Lead of the Payments team and will own the research, prioritization, planning, and execution of core processes and projects within the payments team. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, business, compliance, legal, and operations stakeholders to deliver world-class products.
You will be responsible for the processes of creation and maintenance of documentation to ensure that projects are delivered smoothly and accordingly to schedule. As the senior project manager, you will be hands-on with providing continuous improvements to the development cycle so that each release is more efficient.
What you'll be doing
- Work closely with the Product Lead and other product managers to discover, ideate, develop and launch growth opportunities and customer-centric products;
- Identify and define necessary process enhancements; analyze existing process logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions.
- Analyze project process outcome & impact, collect feedback, and drive continuous improvement
- Build alignment across product teams, cross-functional partners (e.g. Marketing, Operations, Business Development, Compliance, etc.) and the Leadership team;
- Drive, implement, and manage change in the organization
- Coordinate product development with a world-class team of engineers and designers.
- Ensure constant communication and calibration between project teams and other stakeholders at regular intervals
- Positively contribute to our team's culture: continuous improvement, deliver better together, and enable others' success
- Build talent and capability in the team. Support team members' development through coaching and feedback
- Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- You have at least 5 years of experience in Project Management
- You are comfortable working in a tech environment with the ability to coordinate across several functions (Product, Engineering, Business Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Design, Business Development)
- Ability to work on technical projects with the Product Management Team
- Proven track record of developing and implementing plans to achieve business goals and objectives with clear and tangible metrics
- You have strong problem solving skills and the willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done;
- You are just as comfortable white-boarding a completely new process as you are optimizing an existing flow, and you know when to do which
- You know how to influence people to get things done across any function. People love working with you
- You are independent and have the ability to communicate/escalate concerns and facilitate the right stakeholders in a discussion before they become issues.
- Solid experience in project/stakeholder management, process improvement, planning, and performance management
- Strong communication and presentation skills (English)
- Ability to adapt your working style to different situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural environment
- Attention to detail and ability to ask the right questions to ensure speed and accuracy
