Job Description

A GIS (Geographic Information System) Analyst is responsible for analyzing geographic data using specialized computer software and tools. Their primary role is to collect, manipulate, and analyze geospatial data to create maps, visualize spatial information, and identify trends and patterns.

Requirements
  • Fresh Graduate D3/D4/S1 Geography / Geodesics / Geomatics / Urban and Regional Planning / Related Fields
  • Able to perform spatial data analysis through mapping software (Esri Product, QGIS, Global Mapper)
  • Able to design thematic maps with various data sources
  • Can create shapefile data, geodatabase, and other data formats
  • Can convert physical maps to digital form
  • Able to make geographic data reports using spatial data visualization
  • Able to create and manage digital libraries spatially in various file types
  • Understanding of remote sensing concepts (LiDAR, DEM, etc.) is preferred
  • Preferably understand programming languages (PHP, HTML, JS) especially in web geospatial programming
  • Understanding of database systems (Geoserver, PostGIS, PostGreSQL) is preferred
