Promote and develop a positive reputation with the public through various communication channels viz. traditional, social media, blogs, and promotional events via paid, earned, or owned form of communication.
Maintain Viu Indonesia's reputation, including crisis management and conducting public reputation events.
Responsibilities thus include:
- Liaise with media to ensure positive write-ups on Viu through press releases, story pitches, and press conferences. To also manage Viu's online and local community relations.
- Ensure Viu's spokesperson is the face and voice of brand by enabling opportunities and speaking sessions. To attend and co-ordinate on behalf of Viu Management at press conferences, T.V. appearances, media interviews. The position may grow in to representing Viu at conferences as well.
- Reputation & Crisis Management: Gauge Viu public reputation by monitoring brand sentiment and ratings across channels. Deal with major catastrophes and mitigate damage. Adept at crafting communications for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Content Creation: Together with the promotional content team (includes graphic designer, video editor, copywriter, writer/editor), craft stories about Viu to pitch to media. Write press materials (press releases, media alerts, by-lined articles) for news outlets, brand awareness/ acquisitions/ loyalty videos, and copy strategy for various communication purposes across marketing, content, and/or company functions.
- Community Relations: Together with event organizers, ensure Viu lives up to its potential as a socially responsible corporation. Create opportunities to present and maintain Viu's appearance in social events. Associate Viu with positive community events across audience, media, government, and industry, like sponsoring events, and conducting philanthropy events. Create and maintain an impact on the target community, share stories/bytes with media which will increase Viu's number of press placements and strengthens its public reputation.
- Media Relations: Develop and maintain relation with media/ journalists to pitch stories and create interview opportunities for our Executive Team. Track all of Viu's press, social, and blog placements. Measure and report the effectiveness of these campaigns.
- Social Media Community: Together with Social Media team, manage and track Viu's positioning on social media. Use social listening tools to gauge Viu's public reputation, bolster it and engage in interaction with followers. Trigger organic social media influencers to promote the brand and continue as Viu's brand ambassadors.
- Postgraduate with minimum 8 years of experience in a PR/ Corp Communication role and
- Par excellent communication skills, a good orator and strong presentation skills.
- Enthusiastic and a fan of Viu's content and product offering.
- Well abreast with current industry trends, competition campaigns and consumer
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to meet the expectations of the role
- Stature, confidence and charismatic to lead conversation across levels including Executive
- Well-networked with the media fraternity; journalists, PR houses, influencers and utilise this
